Recycle More Electrical and Electronic Items for Free

We are pleased to announce that as of 1 August 2021, you can recycle more electrical and electronic items free of charge under the Recycle My Electronics program. Recycle My Electronics is a national recycling program for electrical and electronic items administered by the Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA). The program has recently expanded to include the following items:

 

 

Examples of Floor, Carpet and Garment Care Appliances include irons, steamers, vacuum cleaners.

Examples of Countertop Appliances include blenders, mixers, toasters, microwave ovens, coffee makers, electric kettles.

Examples of Personal Care Appliances include electric toothbrushes, hairdryers, electric shavers, flat and curling irons, hair clippers.

Examples of Portable Air-Treatment Appliances include fans, humidifiers, air-purifiers.

Examples of Time & Weight Measurement Devices include alarm and wall clocks, timers, bathroom, food and luggage scales.

For free and safe recycling, please deliver your items to IWMC Waste Watch Drop-Off Centers or EPRA drop-off locations listed at https://www.recyclemyelectronics.ca/pei/where-can-i-recycle

Please note that any items with refrigerants, such as dehumidifiers, air conditioners and minifridges are not accepted in the Recycle My Electronics program. We accept them free of charge at IWMC Waste Watch Drop-Off Centers with the large refrigeration appliances.
