Disposal Facilities

island waste management iwmc - disposal facilities

Waste Watch Drop-Off Centers (WWDCs) will accept source-separated materials from businesses and residents. All material must be separated according to Waste Watch Guidelines: Recyclables, Compost, Waste and Items for Special Disposal.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and other items for Special Disposal are accepted free of charge from residents during regular hours of operation at all WWDCs including GreenIsle. Businesses must safely and properly dispose of hazardous material by making arrangements with a hazardous waste carrier.

Residential blue bags and recyclable material can be dropped-off free of charge at any WWDC on Saturday mornings. There is a charge for recyclable material at all other times.

Cover and secure your loads when transporting your material to any facility.

*It is the responsibility of the customer to sort and unload the materials brought for disposal to the facility, as directed by facility personnel.
