DROP-OFF AT WASTE WATCH DROP-OFF CENTERS (WWDCS)
UPDATE:
In response to Hurricane Fiona, IWMC allowed residential and commercial customers to drop tree and yard debris to WWDC’s free of charge. November 26th, 2022 will be the final day for this offering in 2022.
As the winter season in PEI approaches, we acknowledge not all residents have been able to clean up tree and yard debris caused by Hurricane Fiona. With this in mind, IWMC and our contracted partners have agreed to re-evaluate the need for a free-debris drop off in the 2023 spring season. There will be a further announcement on this offering in April 2023.
*A reminder that tree and yard debris must be kept separate from other materials and are considered: tree, brush, branches, grass, shrubs and tree roots.

TREE AND YARD DEBRIS
The Province of Prince Edward Island has partnered with private landowners to provide debris disposal sites across the province (view map). Debris pits for the disposal of fallen trees and branches are open daily 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and will remain open until the first snowfall. Customers who are able to deliver tree and yard debris directly to these sites are encouraged to do so. This will facilitate processing of other materials at WWDCs.
