APR. 6 - COLLECTION SUSPENSION for EXCESS YARD & GARDEN DEBIS is in effect
Posted on: 2020-04-05

Effective Apr. 6, there is a suspension on collection of yard and garden debris placed curbside.  Examples of this material are leaves, twigs, branches, etc.

The suspension goes into effect every spring and fall due to the volume of yard and garden material at this time of the year.  It allows drivers to collect it on dedicated trucks during Spring Cleanup so that it can be kept separate from household organics and processed differently at the Central Compost Facility.

Please note that this applies only to yard & garden material.  Excess household organics (food scraps, non-recyclable paper such as boxboard, paper towels, etc.) will still be collected according to guidelines if placed beside the compost cart.
