CALL2RECYCLE - SPRING INTO BATTERY RECYCLING CONTEST
Posted on: 2016-04-19

From March 20 to May 31, 2016, Canadians are encouraged to collect used batteries and take to a recycling depot then enter to win one of eight prizes of $100.

For information on this campaign, click here.

On PEI, battery recycling containers can be found at most grocery stores and are accepted at Waste Watch Drop-Off Centers at no charge.

Remember, if disposing of lithium, lithium Ion, lithium button, and small sealed lead acid batteries (often used for emergency lighting or remote control toys), please tape both terminals with non-conductive tape or place them individually in small plastic 'baggies' or plastic wrap.
